Bubba Nosferatu Gets A New Elvis We haven’t heard much about Bubba Nosferatu, the follow up to Don Coscarelli’s cult favorite Bubba Ho-Tep since Bruce Campbell decided he wasn’t going to be involved. Lets be honest - the loss of Campbell was a near-fatal hit for the movie, since it was Campbell’s attachment that originally drew so many people to the first movie.

Bubba Nosferatu is still moving forward, with near A-lister Paul Giamatti still signed on to play Col. Parker, the famed agent to Elvis. So what’s a franchise built upon Bruce Campbell playing aged Elvis supposed to do for a new King? Find another actor with an equal cult following, apparently.

Giamatti graced AICN with an interview to announce who is being pursued to play the new old Elvis. The choice - Hellboy star Ron Perlman! You have to admit that’s a pretty fair choice if Campbell is too busy to reprise his role.

There are a couple other good pieces from Giamatti in the interview, including his thoughts on working with Coscarelli and the direction they’re going to take his character. Check it out if you have the chance, and let us know what you think of the possibility of Perlman as Elvis in the comments section below!
