Romany Malco Joins Michael Douglas And Robert De Niro In Last Vegas
While had had hits in both 2005's The 40 Year Old Virgin and 2012's Think Like A Man, Romany Malco has largely stuck to the small screen over the last few years. In addition to starring in the first few seasons of Weeds (I will never understand why they axed his character), he has also had extended runs on shows like The Good Wife, No Ordinary Family and Unsupervised. But now he's getting back to the big screen once again.
Deadline reports Malco has signed on to join the amazing ensemble cast of Jon Turteltaub's Last Vegas. The comedy follows four aging friends who decide to get back together for one last hurrah when the last among them is finally getting married. Michael Douglas will star as the man giving up bachelorhood, while Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Klein make up his support system. Dan Fogelman, who wrote last year's Crazy, Stupid, Love as well as movies like Tangled and Cars, handled scripting duties. Malco will be playing a small role in the movie as a character named Lonnie, the concierge at the Palms Hotel where the friends are staying. CBS Films has already attached to the project as a distributor and has dated the film for December 20, 2013. Production has already begun.
Malco most recently returned as Conrad Shepherd in an episode of Weed's eighth and final season and his other previous credits include Baby Mama, Blades of Glory, The Ex, and The Love Guru. Think Like A Man is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.
