Sundance Video Blog Day One: Silent House, Pariah, Martha Marcy May Marlene
You may have already seen our first video blog from the first day of Sundance, in which Matt Patches and I recapped The Music Never Stopped and Project Nim. But it probably won't surprise you to hear that Day One at Sundance is a long one-- Matt Patches and I crammed at least five movies into our schedules that day, and had plenty to talk about and go over even before we hit our last movie of the day, the midnight exploitation splatterfest Hobo WIth a Shotgun.
Standing in the lobby of the Yarrow Hotel, home to press screenings, hotel rooms and the only bar on that side of town, Patches and I went over the movie we had both just seen, the drama Martha Marcy May Marlene, and the films we had seen separately earlier that day-- the haunted house film Silent House for me, and the teen lesbian drama Pariah for him. Check out what we thought about the movies and get a glimpse of our early exhausted delirium (and it was only day one!) in the video below. And as always, keep coming back for more! We've got plenty more videos where that came from.
