While it’s not enough to change their lives, it is enough to float someone who is away from work filming for months at a time. The winners of the ”Big Brother” get a whopping $750,000 and the runner-up will pocket $75,000, but it was reported as of Season 27 that “Big Brother” contestants also made $1,000 per week. Switching to another popular show with a different pay structure, we know that the Sole Survivor gets a $1 million payday and second place gets $100,000. For your average contestant, though, they get a $10,000 payday for attending the reunion show. So what about shows that don’t have a cash prize? For “90 Day Fiancé,” the cast gets paid $1,000 per episode like “Big Brother,” but more popular cast members can get paid from $2,000 - $7,500. While the Bachelor and Bachelorette get paid, contestants of the show do not. Not only that, but they cover their own wardrobe and makeup, leaving them responsible for a lot of costs when you also consider time off of work.
