Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal Joins Scorsese's Wolf Of Wall Street
It would seem that The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal is trading in his zombie killing boots for a pair of stock broker Gucci loafers.
According to THR, the actor is the latest star to join the ranks of The Wolf of Wall Street, the new film from the legendary Martin Scorsese. Based on the memoir by Jordan Belfort, the film stars DiCaprio as a stock broker who finds incredible success on Wall Street and begins to experience a life of endless partying, but then finds his downfall when he's arrested for securities fraud. Bernthal will be playing a drug dealer who also deals in money laundering. Scorsese has already assembled an all-star cast for the movie, which is set to also include Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Margot Robbie and, as reported yesterday, Tony Award nominee Cristin Milioti.
Bernthal is best known for playing the character Shane Walsh on the hit AMC series, but has played roles in movies like Rampart, Date Night and The Ghost Writer. He is currently working on his next big project, as he is the star of the upcoming series L.A. Noir, the new TNT show that was created by Walking Dead season one showrunner Frank Darabont. His next film, Snitch, which co-stars Dwayne Johnson, Susan Sarandon, and Barry Pepper, recently wrapped production and will arrive in theaters sometime in 2013.
The Wolf of Wall Street is being adapted by Terence Winter and the film is expected to be released in 2o13. Production will begin this August in New York.
