Director Kathryn Bigelow’s newest flick, Zero Dark Thirty made plenty of critics top 10 picks on its way to an Oscar nomination. If you haven’t caught the film, it will hit shelves sooner than you might think. Zero Dark Thirty hits Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download on March 19.

The film has been critically lauded throughout its theatrical run and stars an extremely talented cast of actors, including Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke and Joel Edgerton, as well as wild card Chris Pratt. The film follows one woman’s dogged quest to put together the pieces and finally find Osama Bin Laden. It may not be a frontrunner for best picture (you can read more about that here), but it’s certainly worth a watch, and may be worth owning.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is putting together the set and, as usual, Blu-ray copies will come in a combo pack with a DVD and digital copy. If you don’t feel like you need the myriad of ways to watch, the good news is that both Blu-ray and DVD copies will come with the same bonus features. Most of these are the basic behind-the-scenes looks featuring interviews with cast and crew. Fittingly, one full extra will be devoted to Jessica Chastain’s character. Suckily, some of the usual suspects are missing, including deleted scenes and audio commentary. The former’s not a big deal, but as a huge fan of Bigelow, this disc could have certainly been more exciting with more personal insight; luckily, the director will speak out in one of the extras.

Zero Dark Thirty Blu-ray & DVD Extras
  • “No Small Feat” with Kathryn Bigelow
  • “The Compound” about reconstructing Bin Laden’s Digs
  • “Geared Up”
  • “Targeting Jessica Chastain” about the character of May
