Breaking Bad's Vince Gilligan And Cast Talk About Gliding Over All
Breaking Bad is over for the summer. Those of us who are eager to see how this story will end will have to wait until next summer for the final eight episodes of Season 5. In the meantime, we also have the option to look back at the episodes that have aired, including Sunday night's "Gliding Over All." AMC released a video that has the cast and creator discussing the mid-season finale.
In the video below, series showrunner Vince Gilligan, and stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Anna Gunn and Betsy Brandt talk about the eighth episode of Season 5 and what was going through the minds of some of the characters.
"Time to make the meth!"
Gilligan mentions that the writers are currently working on the plot for the second half of Season 5. Part of that will likely focus on how Hank pursues his revelation. "I know he's Heisenberg," actor Dean Norris says of his character Hank. "But he doesn't know that I know he's Heisenberg."
Thinking about what Norris said, there's definitely potential for a really exciting arc involving Hank and Walt in the second half of the season. Hank has been through so much in his pursuit of Heisenberg. If he comes to realize the full scope of this situation - memories of getting shot, nearly blown up, and of rushing to the hospital thinking Marie's hurt should come to mind, not to mention taking Walt with him when he was spying on Gus - the situation should feel really personal for Hank. This isn't a straight-up cat and mouse situation anymore. A confrontation seems inevitable, and given some of the things we've seen Walt do in recent seasons, I'm coming out of Season 5 on Team Hank here. How many months until summer?
