Continuing with the Adult Swim line-up, the NTSF:SD:SUV panel followed Children's Hospital (just like on TV!) and featured creator and star Paul Scheer (The League), executive producer Jonathan Stern (Childrens Hospital) and consulting producer Curtis Gwinn (Fat Guy Stuck in Internet) as well as cast members Karen Gillan (Dr. Who), Brandon Johnson (Funny or Die), June Diane Raphael (Burning Love) and the great Martin Starr (Party Down).
What's in store for the police procedural spoof in Season 3? The panel immediately gives some answers with Scheer taking the stage, with a fake moustache, to throw to an exclusive clip reel just for us. And his mom. Hashtag Suits! The reel was really funny and featured a lot of looks at the season's guest stars including Ed Helms, Jack McBrayer, Alia Shawkat, Eliza Dushku and a whole bunch of others. Even Giles from Buffy!
After the tease, Scheer brought out the rest of the panel who were also equipped with fake moustaches. Even the ladies. Gilllan and Raphael look good. While people line up with Qs and/or puns, Scheer asks Gillan about her new character who is kind of like the Q of NTSF:SD:SUV. Not question, like Bond's Q. Johnson then picks up on the signing jokes from the previous panel and brings back the vaginas.
Scheer then asks Raphael, his wife, about the prequel episode and it's not clear whether or not she knows what a prequel is... She does, and there's one on the way that shows Piper's formative years. Starr is asked about his ever revolving costumes and this year he's got the hobo look going. Inspired by a hobo he saw fishing for pussy on the street. Oddly enough, the sign for pussy is different than vagina. To the audience!
David is up, his favorite color is brown, and he wants to know if the staches are real. Yes. If they weren't real you wouldn't be able to see them. Pretty valid. The signing jokes suddenly become a little awkward cause the next question comes from someone signing. Which they think is a gag. It's not. Gillan is asked how different it is than Dr. Who and it's quite a bit. You can imagine. Up next a gentleman brings the first pun, in the form of a limerick. What did Paul Scheer say when he walked into his Con hotel and saw the bed? How did this get made? Next pun is another riddle. It doesn't need to be repeated.
Johnson takes over, saying he ain't Sinbad so don't tell sinfully bad jokes before throwing down his chair is disgust. When the next person spoils Martin Starr's death in This Is The End, Scheer yells to kill him! He wants to know how the rest of the cast would kill Starr. Scheer would shoot him into space. Cause he's a star. He is, he really is. A cheap date tries his hand at a pun. It wasn't goof but it was at least a pun. CONvinced? Time for a full ep, Comic-Con Air with guest stars Summer Glau, Abigail Spencer and Jo Lo Truglio.
Finally, someone nails the pun. 'Will Martin star in more episodes or will Paul schear down his part to what suits him?' Nicely done. And another clip no one has seen! According to Johnson, It's a vagina, cause no nerd in the crowd has ever seen one. But for real, it's a preview of Filthy Sexy Teens. It's also chalked full of guest stars, with Steven Yeun getting the biggest applause.
