With the holidays fast approaching, the Food Network has put together a list of their holiday specials for those of you who are looking to whip up something festive for the holiday season. Starting in December, the Food Network will be airing a number of specials and special holiday episodes of their popular shows.

Guy Fieri’s Top of the Class
Premieres Saturday, December 5th at 7:30pm
This behind-the-scenes special reveals what happens when aspiring teenage chefs gather in San Diego, Calif., for one of the toughest youth culinary competitions in the country – the National ProStart Invitational. Thirty-nine teams compete for almost $1.1 million in cash, prizes and scholarships. Guy Fieri hosts as the students race to complete a three-course meal before the hour runs out.
Guy’s Disney Holiday
Premieres Saturday, December 5th at 9pm
Guy Fieri explores Disneyland during the holidays and shares – the fun, excitement and charm that the park offers through its holiday-themed meals and treats. Guy, along with members of his family, participate in the making of holiday favorites such as gingerbread houses, yule logs, and candy canes. They also put together a Christmas Eve dinner featuring items served at the Napa Rose restaurant.
The Best Thing I Ever Ate
Premieres Tuesday, December 1st at 9pm
Food Network chefs Alton Brown, Alex Guarnaschelli, Tyler Florence, Aarón Sánchez, Claire Robinson, and Duff Goldman along with chef and cookbook author Art Smith share the stories behind their favorite holiday foods. From the snowy streets of Chicago to the beautiful beaches of the Carolinas, the chefs will recount and track down the treats that top their wish lists, including raisin-studded panettone, smoky southern barbecue, and perfectly crisp Peking duck.
Throwdown with Bobby Flay
Premieres Wednesday, December 2nd at 9pm
“Feast of Seven Fishes”
It’s sink or swim in this holiday-themed Throwdown! The menu draws inspiration from the Feast of Seven Fishes, an Italian holiday tradition where families gather and share a delicious multi-course meal of fish. This year, the tables are turned when the Pellegrino family of Rao's Restaurant in Las Vegas challenges Bobby Flay to a Throwdown. As an excited audience gathers to cheer and bask in the festive charm, the chefs get down to business and create three mouth-watering fish dishes in hopes of achieving victory.
Ace of Cakes
Premieres Thursday, December 3rd at 10pm
The Charm City crew gets in the holiday spirit by dressing up as Duff! Ben and Anna face a challenge with a cake in the shape of a house getting demolished. Mary Smith pipes the ultimate Christmas stocking cake, and Duff gets excited to do a pair of bridal cakes: a pineapple cake and a piece of luggage.

Marc Summers decks the halls with everything from Korbel champagne to Sara Lee pumpkin pie, from delicious peanut brittle to amazing gingerbread houses. He also reveals the secrets of Grandma's Fruitcake and why it enjoys such a special reputation, as well as how Spanglers makes millions of candy canes every day while still producing some parts by hand. This episode also shows the torching process of glazed honey hams, and the historical tale behind Hannukah gelt.
Diners, Drive-In, & Dives
Premieres Monday, December 7th at 10pm
“Christmas in the North Pole”
Guy Fieri takes the Camaro to the great, white North for a holiday party like none other – in the town of North Pole, Alaska, where they are decorated for Christmas 365 days a year. Guy hits some local joints that make way more than just a Christmas goose – like the smoked caribou they make at Big Daddy’s BBQ, or Mongolian Beef at Chinese restaurant staple Pagoda. And when the frost appears outside, Guy craves a homemade ice cream at Hot Licks.

‘Tis the season to shake things up! The chefs learn that as an added challenge, their dishes must have a holiday theme. In the Appetizer Round, the added challenge includes venison as the main ingredient. Then in the Entrée Round, marshmallows don’t marry well with the huge surprise in the mystery basket. Finally in the Dessert Round the remaining chefs “say cheese,” but will they be smiling when their final festive dishes take shape?

“Robert & Guy’s Holiday Havoc”
Robert receives a surprise when Guy Fieri turns up to deliver an extreme holiday mission. Robert and Guy join forces with Food Network’s charitable partner, Share Our Strength to give members of the Santa Rosa Boys and Girls Club in California a holiday memory they'll never forget. Their challenge: to create a meal for 300 guests of the Boys and Girls Club in just 10 hours.

Rachael creates a holiday meal to warm up to in under half an hour. She starts off with a flavorful Mulled Cran-Cider that goes perfectly with an Apple Brandy Fondue Pot with Bacon-Spinach-Chicken Bites. To finish the plate, Rachael puts together a Blanched Vegetable Selection and Sliced Fruit.
Secrets of a Restaurant Chef

“The Secret to Porchetta”
For an aromatic starter to this special meal, Anne whips up a Pureed Chick Pea Soup. Then, her Porchetta with Roasted Fingerlings presents a show-stopping twist on the traditional pork roast, packed with herbs and garlic then roasted on a bed of winter vegetables and wine.
Down Home with the Neelys
Premieres Saturday, December 5th at 11am
It’s time for a holiday celebration, and the Neelys know how to make it an appetizing one! The party kicks off in style with Gina’s Red Carpet Cocktails and a taste of Pat’s BBQ Pot Stickers. Next up is Vidalia Onion Dip with Fried Artichoke Hearts. Of course, no party is complete without that perfect indulgence, Neely’s Chunky Chocolate Delight.
