The New Normal Series Premiere: Watch The Full Pilot Episode Here

NBC is bringing The New Normal to primetime this fall, but those who don't want to wait for the pilot to premiere on television (or who won't be able to see it because their local TV station won't air it) can catch the full episode online today. Check out ahead!

The New Normal stars Justin Bartha and Andrew Rannells as David and Bryan, a homosexual couple looking to have a baby through a surrogate. The pilot episode has them exploring their options, and eventually meeting Goldie (Georgia King), a single mother looking for a fresh start in life. Also among the cast are NeNe Leakes and and Ellen Barkin. NBC posted the pilot episode online ahead of its fall premiere. Check it out below!

Earlier this week, we shared the news that a Salt Lake City-based station was refusing to air the episode, because, as the CEO of the network's parent company Bonneville International said, the program "feels inappropriate on several dimensions, especially during family viewing time." Is 9:30 really "family viewing time" though? It seems like it would be on the tail end of that, at the very least, but I could be wrong about that.

What do you think? Is the first episode of The New Normal funny? Or did you find it offensive, as some people apparently have?

The official premiere for The New Normal is set for September 11 at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

The New Normal isn't the only comedy to get an early online preview. Yesterday we shared the pilot episodes for Fox comedies The Mindy Project and Ben and Kate. Watch them here!
