2007 Fall TV Preview: Supernatural On The CW

So, for those of you who don’t watch it but were fans of Buffy or Angel or Charmed or The X-Files, check out Supernatural. And for those of you who don’t want and weren’t fans of those other supernatural-like shows, I suggest you watch an episode anyway. There really is something for everyone - action, comedy, drama, and sometimes a little romance

Crazed Britney Fanatic Chris Crocker To Get His Own Show?

So I guess anyone can get their own television show these days. All they have to do is post a video on their blog telling the world to stop making fun of Britney Spears. And Chris Crocker, better known as the “Leave Britney Alone Guy” might just be getting his own show.

2007 Fall TV Preview: American Dad On Fox

I am definitely NOT a fan of these animated series aimed at adults. I have absolutely refused to watch even one episode of Family Guy even though everyone I know who watches it claims that it’s hysterical. Shows like American DadFamily Guy do not appeal to me in any way whatsoever.

Lorelai Gilmore Comes To NBC

Lorelai Gilmore is coming back to television! Well, not Lorelai Gilmore exactly, but the actress who played her, Lauren Graham is. Graham has just signed a seven-figure development deal for a new series. I’m not sure how I feel about this. After watching Lauren Graham for seven seasons as Lorelai Gilmore on Gilmore Girls, I can honestly say that I have a hard time picturing her in any other role and that is not good.

2007 Fall TV Preview: Numb3rs On CBS

I never really payed much attention to Numb3rs before. I did not know much about what the show was about and after reading up on it, I think it actually seems pretty interesting. Using complicated mathematical equations to solve crimes actually seems pretty cool. At least that angle sets this show apart in some way from other cop/FBI dramas.

2007 Fall TV Preview: Moonlight On CBS

Moonlight, a new show on CBS, centers around Mick St. John (Alex O'Louglin), a private investigator, who is investigating vampire-style murders in Los Angeles. The twist? Mick is a vampire himself. Unlike other vampires, however, Mick has devoted his (un)life to helping those in need. A show about a vampire who falls for a mortal woman and works as a private investigator in LA? Doesn’t that sound awfully familiar? It sounds like the exact premise of a little show called Angel.

The Donald Hires Charisma

This just in: Apparently The Apprentice is still on the air. Who knew? Not me. Anyway, it seems The Apprentice has fallen victim to that old reality show trick: the “celebrity addition”. Look for Buffy and Angel alum Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Boreanaz, Alyson Hannigan, Charisma Carpenter to get “hired” this season.

2007 Fall TV Preview: My Name Is Earl On NBC

here are many shows on television that I don’t watch (there aren’t enough hours in a day or space on my TiVo), but My Name Is Earl is one of the few shows that I have absolutely zero interest in watching. Don’t get me wrong, I like Jason Lee, but I’d rather watch him in something like Mallrats.

2007 Fall TV Preview: Without A Trace On CBS

Without A Trace seems to me like another run-of-the-mill police procedural. Each police drama seems to have some sort of a different angle than all the rest, but they all seem to be pretty much the same when you’re watching them. And when you’ve seen one, you’ve pretty much seen them all. From what I can tell, there is nothing particularly interesting or special about this particular show.

2007 Fall TV Preview: Ugly Betty On ABC

I just ADORE Ugly Betty! It’s such a fun, whimsical show! Betty is one of the most lovable characters on television right now. Although, I have to disagree with the show’s title. Betty is adorable and in no way ugly! This show is just so much fun to watch and there is nothing that I can say about it that will truly do it justice. If you haven’t seen it, watch an episode. After seeing the adorable-ness that is Betty, the antics between Amanda and her gay BFF, Marc, seeing how hysterical and over-the-top Wilhelmina is, and you’ll definitely be hooked! And if that isn’t enough, watch it for Betty’s nephew, the too-cute-for-words Justin. His rendition of “Good Morning Baltimore” from Hairspray is classic!

2007 Fall TV Preview: CSI: New York On CBS

I’m looking forward to the next season of CSI: NY. One of the things I like best about this show is the cast. Usually when I watch a show, there’s at least one character that I’m not too crazy about. That isn’t the case with CSI: NY. I like each and every one of them. That being said, what really make a show like CSI: NY so entertaining is the types of cases we are shown each week. Before I started watching this show, I was a fan of NYPD Blue

Most Haunted: Winchester House

Do you ever lie awake in bed at night and hear strange noises? “It’s just the wind or the house settling,” you tell yourself. There’s no way that what you’re hearing is actually a ghost. That’s just ridiculous. Right? Well, what if the house you were living in was the Winchester Mystery House, a.k.a. “the house that fear built.”

2007 Fall TV Preview: The Unit On CBS

CBS’s The Unit, which will begin its 3rd season in a few weeks, focuses on a covert teams of special forces operatives, led by Jonas Blane, who routinely take part in undercover missions. Viewers get to see how the nature of the characters’ work affects their personal lives. When we last saw the members of The Unit, they were being investigated by the government and facing possibly the biggest threat of their lives.

2007 Fall TV Preview: Bones On Fox

Bones, now heading into season three, stars Emily Deschanel as forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan (who is based on real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. Reichs is also credited as a producer on the show). Dr. Brennan specializes in identifying the remains of murder victims, using only their bones. Together with FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), Brennan and her team of scientists (or “squints” as Booth likes to call them) work at the Jeffersonian Institution, in Washington D.C.

Jesse Metcalfe Gets Desperate

For all of you Desperate Housewives fans out there, I have some great news for you! Jesse Metcalfe (better known as John Rowland, the teenage gardener that Eva Longoria’s Gabrielle was having an affair with) is coming back to Desperate Housewives in the series’ fourth episode.

2007 Fall TV Preview: CSI: Miami On CBS

CSI:Miami, the first CSI spin-off focuses on a the team of forensic scientists who work for the Miami-Dade Police Department. Headed by Horatio Caine, the team of scientists incorporate both cutting-edge technology with old-fashioned detective work to solve all types of forensic investigations.

2007 Fall TV Preview: Prison Break On Fox

Prison Break, now heading into it’s third season, is about Michael Scofield, who intentionally gets himself thrown into jail in order to help his brother, Lincoln, (framed for the murder of the Vice President’s brother) break out of jail. At the end of season one, Michael, Lincoln, and an assortment of other inmates broke out of Fox River Penitentiary and season two had them all running from the law.

Reiko Aylesworth Joins ER

And the casting news continues! We’ve got Kristen Bell joining Heroes, Janeane Garofalo joining 24, and now a 24 alum is joining ER in its 14th (!) season. Reiko Aylesworth (Michelle Dessler on 24) will be joining ER’s cast as the new chaplain of County General Hospital.

Is Regis Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

A special celebrity edition of Fox’s Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is set to hit TV screens during November sweeps. Celebrity contestants include Clay Aiken and Kellie Pickler (both of American Idol fame), Regis Philbin (Live with Regis and Kelly), TV personality Billy Bush, skateboarder Tony Hawk, and Miss America Lauren Nelson.
