I really do love (500) Days of Summer. Sure, it's a bit schmaltzy and the last line of the movie is totally cornball, but it's really a great romantic dram-com and its stars, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, have great chemistry together. Part of that may be because the two stars are actually really good friends and plenty of proof of that exists on the internet. Back in 2009, when the movie was released, they worked together to create two tiny little videos that were released online, one with them as Sid and Nancy (genders reversed) and another featuring the two playing out a scene in a bar. Now the duo is back to celebrate New Years in style.

Deschanel has posted a video of the two actors singing a cover of "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" (which was famously performed by Ella Fitzgerald) on her personal YouTube account. Check it out below.

It's worth noting that Gordon-Levitt and Deschanel aren't currently working on a project together. This is just two friends hanging out and sharing their musical gifts with the world during the holiday season. And that's just plain awesome.
