Kylie Minogue Set To Seduce Dr. Who

Dr. Who can’t get Kylie Minogue out of his head. The sexy songstress, who’s been battling cancer in recent times, has agreed to appear on the BBC hit television show ‘Dr. Who.’ Minogue’s stylist, Will Baker, encouraged his friend take the role of a sexy cyber woman. Seriously, how can you resist such a person? Dr. Who will have his hands full, and that’s if he’s lucky.

Minogue will appear in the special ‘Christmas’ episode, which begins filming this July. ”Kylie jumped at the chance to be in the show and is really looking forward to acting again,” a BBC insider told Britain’s News of the World paper. Minogue is most widely known (outside the U.S. at least) for her role as Charlene on the Australian soap ‘Neighbours.’ ‘Dr. Who’ is very much unlike her other television work. The Doctor travels through time using a phone booth called the Tardis, fighting the Daleks and Cybermen. Not exactly traditional soap opera fare.

The show’s writer, Russell T Davies, has met with the 38-year old singer/actress to discuss the part. He seems excited about having the sexy seductress on to work her cyber magic on the doctor. ”I imagined she’d be booked up for the next two years,” he stated. Unless there’s a casting call for a green fairy, it looks like Minogue is free to play her part for ‘Dr. Who.’

The BBC series returned to television in 2005 and has been a hit in the UK. Over here in America the audience hasn’t caught on nearly as much. Maybe we Yanks just don’t like time travel in phone booths. I have but one word to say on that subject…station!
