Bruce Willis Shoots Up A Ballroom In Latest Good Day To Die Hard Clip
John McClane, Bruce Willis’ villain-killing on-screen persona, used to be associated with Christmas. The beleaguered blue-collar cop found himself up to his ass in terrorists on consecutive Christmas Eves, which catapulted the character (and the actor) into Hollywood’s hall-of-fame for unstoppable tough guys. This year, McClane’s trying something different. A Good Day to Die Hard arrives in theaters on Valentine Day, but Fox shares a new, explosive clip to prove that it will be business as usual for the dogged crime stopper. See for yourself:
I wonder where he learned to shoot the glass?
It feels like we’re being shown the fifth Die Hard in bits and pieces. Before this ballroom fire-fight, Fox teased a metal-cruching car chase with McClane at the wheel. All of this in hopes of convincing fans that the R-rated Die Hard sequel will live up to expectations.
If this is your first time reading about the new Die Hard, and you have no idea what’s happening in the above clip, you’ll be happy to hear that A Good Day to Die Hard reunites McClane with his son, Jack (Jai Courtney) for a mission in Moscow. Young McClane is a covert operative, with “Papa” John arriving in Mother Russia to bail his son out of trouble and possibly prevent a nuclear war between Russia and the rest of the world.
Just another day in the life of John McClane.
John Moore (The Omen, Max Payne) directs A Good Day to Die Hard, which opens in 2D and IMAX on Feb. 14.
