ParaNorman Will Face The Undead On Blu-ray In November

There really aren’t enough scary children’s movies in the world. Which is why it is amazing that 2012 produced both the adventurous tale of terror, ParaNorman, and the upcoming animated flick, Frankenweenie. You'll be able to catch the latter in theaters beginning this weekend, and luckily, if you missed the former, Universal Studios Home Entertainment is bringing ParaNorman to 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on November 27.

Chris Butler and Sam Fall’s stop-motion animation film follows a misfit group of kids as they deal with some zombies that make their way into the kid’s small Massachusetts town. The zombies eventually begin a rampage on the town, but the story may not be exactly what it seems. The cast of the animated flick is pretty solid and features vocal work from Leslie Mann, Kodi Smit-Mcphee, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, and Jeff Garlin. However, the stop-motion animation in the flick is the real star, and the 3D looks great (it should probably be noted that ParaNorman was only the second stop-motion animated flick to be shot in 3D).

Not everyone has the technology to spring for the 3D Blu-ray, but luckily the only stuff fans will be losing if they don’t purchase the 3D Blu-ray combo pack are the bells and whistles, including things like BD Live, Ultraviolet, second screen technology, and a digital copy of the flick. The special features in the regular Blu-ray and DVD sets will stand one and the same. You can check out the full list, below.
