Jenna Elfman Joins NBC Comedy Pilot 1600 Penn
The NBC comedy pilot 1600 Penn now has its First Lady. Set to join Bill Pullman in the Josh Gad and Jon Lovett written comedy pilot is Jenna Elfman, who has been cast to play another member of the dysfunctional White House family.
Written by Jon Lovett and Josh Gad (Book of Mormon), 1600 Penn is a comedy pilot set in Washington DC, which follows the dysfunctional family in the White House. Bill Pullman is already on board to play the president, and according to TV Line, Dharma and Greg’s Jenna Elfman has been cast to play the First Lady in the comedy. In addition to Pullman, Elfman joins previously cast Brittany Snow and Amara Miller in the project, as well as Josh Gad, who’s also set to play a role.
Those who liked Elfman in Dharma & Greg, or more recently in Accidentally on Purpose will likely be pleased with this news, as it’ll put her back in a starring role on television, should things go well for the pilot. In the meantime, TV Line says she’s set to make an appearance in the Season 2 finale of Shameless, and she has a recurring role in the last season of Damages.
