Kirstie Alley's Big Life Preview: Premieres This Sunday

One of the things I’m most interested to see in Kirstie Alley’s new A&E reality show is how much of herself she’s willing to put out there as she lets the cameras document her life. Based on the video promo we have to share with you, she seems pretty comfortable with the situation.

From Star Trek to Cheers to the Look Who’s Talking trilogy and later TV series Veronica’s Closet and Fat Actress, Alley’s made a good living as an actress. Of her projects, my personal favorite is the mockumentary film Drop Dead Gorgeous. While she’s known for the roles she’s played, more recently she’s also known as an actress who has put on a significant amount of weight. And let’s face it, five pounds is probably considered “significant” in Hollywood but Alley’s weight gain has exceeded that and this will be one of the issues dealt with in her new reality series Kirstie Alley’s Big Life, I doubt many women would consent to step on the scale on camera but Alley’s willing to do it. You’ll see a bit of that in the promo below, though I have to say my favorite bit is her statement about wanting to be “skinny booty call.”

Below is some information A&E released on the series and further that is a promo for the show, which premieres this Sunday on A&E.

“One major theme in the series will be chronicling Kirstie’s comedic and unique take on her battle with weight loss, which coincides with the launch of her new weight loss company. She’s also producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, True and Lillie, taking care of eight ringtail lemurs, and on top of everything, looking for love…nothing like a little pressure.”

Kirstie Alley’s Big Life premieres SUNDAY, MARCH 21 at 10PM ET/PT on A&E with back to back episodes.
