TV Land has lots of good news for Hot In Cleveland fans today. Not only has production started for the second season but the network also announced that Betty White and Mary Tyler Moore would be reuniting on screen when Moore guest stars in Season 2.

Hot In Cleveland stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White, and follows a group of women who end up stuck in Cleveland on a layover and decide to stay, believing their lives might be better there. Production started yesterday for Season 2 of the show and TV Land plans for the second season to premiere on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The season will consist of twenty episodes, which is twice as many as Season 1. Speaking of which, Season 1 will be available on DVD on January 11, 2011.

“Season two picks up right where season one left off with Melanie, Joy and Victoria (Bertinelli, Leeves and Malick) trying to desperately “free Elka” (White) who was arrested after a stash of valuable jewels and goods - fenced by her mob-employed deceased husband - was found in her storm cellar.”

As for Mary Tyler Moore’s guest role, she will be featured in the second season premiere and will have some role in what’s going on with White’s character Elka, who was arrested in the first season finale. This appearance will mark the first time Moore and White have acted together on screen in 33 years!
