The best movie to come out of China since Drunken Master II arrived in theaters this summer, and almost no one noticed. For those of you who missed Jet Li's Fearless, December 19th will be your chance to redeem yourself.
That's when Fearless hits DVD from Universal Home Entertainment. Their doing something kind of interesting for this one. It's being offered both in Unrated DVD, and in an HD DVD/DVD combo format. While I'm still not on board with these unnecessary new formats, if they're going to push them on us, releasing combo discs is probably a good way to do it.
The DVD version is being priced at $29.98 and the combo version for ten bucks more.
Jet Li’s Fearless is based on the heroic real-life saga of fighter and national hero Huo Yuanjia. Set in China at the turn of the last century, Huo’s transformation from an arrogant and ruthless young fighter to a wise and thoughtful master defined the true spirit of martial arts and inspired his nation.
