Connery In Indy 4

George Lucas has been out talking about Indiana Jones 4 again. It’s almost not worth reporting on anything the guy says, since half the time he only denies saying it later. But he has absolutely no reason to lie about this, so why not report it.

Reuters caught The Lucas at the San Francisco Film Festival where he was being honored. While he was there, he talked about whether or not Sean Connery will be in the fourth movie. The answer is… he doesn’t know. Connery still isn’t signed, but Georgie-boy confirmed that there is a place for him in the movie. His character, Henry Jones, is in the script. George says, “We have a script with him in it… if he doesn't do it, we'll do a quick rewrite."

Since it doesn’t sound like it will be much bother to take him out of the script, it’s probably also unlikely that Henry Connery has much more than a bit part in the film. Way to talk Sean into doing it George. Why not just come right out and say his character doesn’t matter and you don’t need him. I’m sure that’ll send him scrambling out of retirement to work for you.
