The Crazies Get A Girl

Turns out Radha Mitchell has a crazy side. ShockTillYouDrop.com reports that the Silent Hill star has signed on to be a part of The Crazies remake, which will be out in September of this year. She will star opposite Timothy Olyphant in this comedic sounding horror film.

Mitchell has played a loose canon before, she starred in Mark Forster’s Everything Put Together, in 2000. Her performance as a mother pushed to the brink of sanity by grief after the loss of a child is definitely worth checking out. Mitchell will almost certainly be playing the wife of Timothy Olyphant in The Crazies.

In case you aren’t caught up, The Crazies was originally a George A. Romero film and is now being re-made by Overture Films. The movie follows the happenings of a town after a biological weapon backfire. The weapon leaves the town’s inhabitants utterly insane. I can’t wait to see how this horror flick shapes up. With his action and comedy background and her drama and horror background, Olyphant and Mitchell could prove to be dynamite casting for this crazy re-make.
