Delay For Crispin Glover's Horror Film

Crispin Glover is definitely a weird guy. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – he is an actor after all and that weirdness has lent itself to performances like Glover’s in Charlie’s Angels and Willard. Apparently his previous body of work isn’t enough to secure financing however, as Glover told Sci-Fi Wire that his next picture is facing a delay.

Glover’s next project is tentatively titled The I Scream Man and would star Glover as a strange guy who owns an ice cream truck and dons a surgical mask to goon a random murder spree across town. The movie was written and will be directed by J.T. Mollner and was slated to co-star Haylie Duff, Judd Nelson, George Romero, and Michael Madsen.

Unfortunately, The I Scream Man is facing some financial and legal issues that will be delaying production, and may cost the project some of those B-list names. Glover assures the press that he won’t be one of them that abandons the project, however. "When they are ready to go and still want me, I will do it.”

I don’t know what worries me more – the fact that Glover is so attached to making this movie, or the fact that I’m interested enough to want to see Glover playing a demented ice cream truck driver. Glover can be downright creepy, which is something a movie like this could definitely play off of, assuming it is able to overcome its current obstacles and get underway.
