We've seen trailers for just about every Oscar season movie this year, from Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master - which will be in theaters on Friday - to Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained - which won't come out until the end of December. On film that has remained a mystery, however, is Steven Spielberg's Lincoln. Sure, we've seen official images and a poster has been released (and Daniel Day Lewis looks absolutely awesome in the presidential makeup), but we've yet to see a trailer despite the fact that the movie will be out in early November. Today we finally have our first teaser and news of when we will be getting a full trailer.

Google Play has posted the very first clip from the historical drama, and while its only a little over 40 seconds long it does pack a punch. Check it out below.

Those of you who watched the entire video past the end of the footage now know that on September 13th - a.k.a. this Thursday - at 7:00pm EST we will be getting the first theatrical trailer for Lincoln. As we do with just about every movie in existence, we will be sure to have the preview online and ready to watch as soon as possible here on Cinema Blend.

Based in part on the Doris Kearns Goodwin book "A Team of Rivals," Lincoln stars the Oscar-winning Lewis as our 16th president as he works to end the Civil War and abolish slavery in the United States. The stunning supporting cast includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Jackie Earle Haley, Jared Harris, Lee Pace, James Spader, David Strathairn, Sally Field, John Hawkes and many more. The movie will be in theaters on November 9th and you can read more about it in our Blend Film Database.
