1000 Ways To Die Preview: Sucked Off

For those of you who watch Spike’s 1000 Ways to Die, we have a clip for you from an upcoming episode. It pokes fun at a certain loud-mouthed celebrity and ends with something that may actually make you throw up in your mouth.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the series, below is Spike’s description. Further down is the video, which as I said, is pretty graphic. I couldn’t even watch it all the way through but given that the show is about ways people can die, I don’t think it ended well for the man. This episode airs at a special time: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19 AT 8:30PM ET/PT ON SPIKE TV

1000 Ways to Die combines the science of living and the randomness of death with a dash of Darwinism. What actually happens when a rattlesnake's venom enters the bloodstream? How do Nitrogen bubbles affect the body after long exposure under water then immediately to 2 miles up into the sky? These questions will be answered in glorious CGI effects. Forensic experts, pathologists, toxicologists, herpetologists, and other experts offer eloquent explanations of mortality.

Consider this your last warning. If you have a weak stomach, you might want to get a bucket…

Is it even necessary to guess at who the unnamed celebrity being impersonated is? Watching the above video, I’m reminded of a certain short story that Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club, Choke) wrote called “Guts”, which dealt with similar subject matter. Nasty business but worth reading if you accidentally swallowed poison and are all out of ipecac. (Great, now I’m craving Family Guy clips).

1000 Ways To Die normally airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on Spike, however the episode featuring the clip above will air at 8:30 PM ET/PT (Tuesday, October 19th).
