Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Photos Reveal Amy Acker, A Lie Detector, Maria Hill And More
As the preview for next Tuesday night's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ("The Only Light in the Darkness") teased, the episode will include an appearance by Whedonverse veteran Amy Acker, who's playing a key role in this story. ABC has since released photos from the episode, which give us a better look at her character. We also have a few glimpses of the April 29 episode, which will feature the return of Cobie Smulders. Spoilers ahead!
First, let's focus on the Cellist. Amidst all of this Hydra chaos, the love of Coulson's life is in danger. Acker plays Audrey, the woman Coulson has spoken of in the past, who believes he's dead. In the photo above, she looks like she's seeing a ghost. Or maybe it's just Simmons and Triplett.
Meanwhile, in "Providence," it looks like the gang's back together...
We also know that Patton Oswalt's character Agent Koenig has plans to take a close look at Coulson's team, probably in order to determine if all of them are trustworthy.

We know at least one of them isn't trustworthy at all...
How's Ward going to get by this test? Or maybe he isn't.

And for those who want a look ahead at the April 29 S.H.I.E.L.D. episode, "Nothing Personal," here's a look at Cobie Smulders' who returns as Maria Hill...
And it also looks like Mike Peterson (aka Deathlok) is back for "Nothing Personal"...
And coming face to face with Skye...
It's hard to speculate on exactly what's going on in the above photo (is he about to attack her? Is he under orders not to harm her? Is he going to be helping Ward and Garrett interrogate her?), but it'll give us something to speculate about for now. Maybe we'll have a better idea after next Tuesday's episode airs at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC. Speaking of which, here are the promised photos from April 22's "The Only Light in the Darkness"...
