Girls Preview: Episode 4 - Who's Reading Hannah's Diary?

While the focus of HBO's comedy series Girls is on the female characters, there is some focus on men, at least as they relate to Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna. Last Sunday's episode had Hannah meeting with her ex-boyfriend, while Marnie had an encounter with her artist friend that left her all hot and bothered. Based on the clips from this weeks episode, a new set of guys will come into play, for different reasons.

Knowing that Shoshanna is a virgin certain ups the interest in her romantic encounters. We're left to wonder when her first time will take place, if anytime soon, and whether or not her insecurities over her sexual inexperience are holding her back. The first clip offers the potential of romance for Shoshanna, as she runs into an old camp friend…

While the focus of the above clip is on the obvious attraction between Shoshanna and her camp friend, I actually loved the way it opened, with Shoshanna in deep discussion about how to properly punctuate the word "Hi," and Jessa complaining about how weird it is to go to work when she doesn't feel like it. I think these two might actually be aliens.

Moving on to the episode's title, "Hannah's Diary," the book is featured in this clip, which has Charlie and Ray in Hannah's room, and Ray taking an almost instant interest in the contents of Hannah's diary.

Given what we already know about Hannah, and the things she says, I can only imagine what she writes in the book. Whatever it is, it has Charlie's friend fascinated.

Girls airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET on HBO.
