HBO Gives Entourage A Sixth Season

Things are looking pretty good for Vince and his boys. Well, maybe not so good for Vince’s career right now but there’s good news for Entourage! It’s only five episodes into its fifth season and HBO has already decided to pick the series up for a sixth. What’s more, if goes as planned, the sixth season will start up next summer!

Fans of the series had to wait until fall for Entourage, which is normally a summer-series, to begin airing new episodes. Since the writers strike has been over for a while, it looks like things are finally getting back to normal for all of our favorite shows. This includes the HBO comedy series, which according to The Hollywood Reporter will begin production on its sixth season in early 2009.

Entourage stars Adrian Grenier as Vince, an actor who was quickly rising to A-list status but recently hit a setback when he sunk his reputation and a lot of his money into an Indie film that wasn’t received well at Cannes. Now he’s trying to get his career back on track. Vince’s closest friends are his manager Eric (Kevin Connolly), his brother Drama (Kevin Dillon) and buddy Turtle (Jerry Ferrara). He’d also be lost without his agent Ari, played by Jeremy Piven, who just picked up his third consecutive Emmy for his role in the series.
