TV Recap: Las Vegas - I Could Eat A Horse

Horses, whales and ex lovers populate the casino this week. Sam deals with a soon-to-be-married couple, but the girl’s a reformed health nut, and the guy’s a chubby chaser. That’s good news, because there’s a “Love ‘em Large” Convention at the casino this week. He ends up with the portly Christian gal who participated in the recent truck giveaway contest.

Danny and Mike head off to Wyoming to buy a coveted horse that Cooper wants. He can’t bid on it because the owner hates him. Danny and Mike end up with the horse, but only after negotiating with the guy’s son, who wants to spend time in Vegas. Plus, he’s a fan of Fergie. So is Danny. Inside joke there.

But when the seller learns that Coop is the real buyer, they chase after Danny and Mike, heading for Coop’s ranch with horse in tow. They do the only thing they can – take the horse to Vegas and set it up in the casino. Yeah, that’s what I would have thought of, too.

None of this goes over well with the blonde chick who stabbed Mike with an epi pen after he goes into anaphylactic shock with his horse allergy. Their budding romance grinds to a half when she figures out he’s connected to Coop. She’s the seller’s daughter. Something tells me we haven't seen the last of this family. What the heck could Cooper have done to tick his Wyoming neighbors off so badly?

Delinda interviews new chefs for the restaurant, struggling since Wolfgang left. She ends up hiring a Midwestern nobody from Toledo. But he’s a great chef, specializing in French cuisine. Just drop the French accent, she says. This could be fun.

An ex-boyfriend of Piper’s stops by the casino. He’s oh so handsome and a gifted musician, to boot (JC Chasez of NSync). He makes your heart weep while singing a spontaneous song w/piano accompaniment in the bar. Piper hides out in her room and weeps, but all is well when Delinda gets rid of him. Hot guy ends up leaving with the chubby chaser’s now-hot ex-fiance.

More mystery surrounding Cooper, and the previews for next week show him taking out a bunch of assassins in the casino. Still loving this quirky show. Still loving the characters. Still loving Coop. I'd still like to see a hookup between he and Sam. There'd be serious sparks there.
