Blu-Ray Gets Naughty With Sex Drive

It’s time to go on a sex drive. Yes, pun intended. On February 24th Summit Entertainment will bring you the unbelievably raunchy comedy Sex Drive on DVD and Blu-ray.

Ian Lafferty (Josh Zuckerman) is a high school graduate with just one concern in life: losing his virginity. Thankfully for Ian, the Internet permits us to distort our image and basically make up anything we’d like about ourselves in order to impress another person. Sure enough, Ian catches the fancy of Ms. Tasty. Suspicious yet? Of course Ian isn’t. He decides to hop in the car with his two buddies Lance (Clark Duke) and Felicia (Amanda Crew) to visit Ms. Tasty. You can add another bad decision to Ian’s list when he decides the car he should take is his brother Rex’s (James Marsden) Pontiac GTO. Car trouble, an Amish party and jail make for a bumpy ride to Ms. Tasty’s. It’s just a typical day for an 18-year-old virgin. Well, in the movies.

The plot is completely ridiculous and utterly vulgar. You’d think that would be a recipe for disaster, but amongst the company of similarly naughty films filling the market, Sex Drive is rather harmless. But if the unrated version is as unsettling as its title, "Unrated and Cream-Filled Edition," I don’t know if it’ll be maintaining that status. Either way, Sex Drive is worth watching. Even though laughing at some of the scenes might make you blush, it’s all in good fun.

You can opt for the DVD 2-disc special for $26.99, which will give you both the theatrical and unrated versions of the film, audio commentary, “Making a Masterpiece,” “The Marsden Dilemma” and “Clarke: Duke of the Internet.” If you’d like to upgrade to the Blu-ray edition, you’ll get everything from the 2-disc special in addition to “Passion of Clark and James,” “Seth Green: Method Actor” and “Rockin’ with Fall Out Boy.”
