BioWare intends to release a lengthy Mass Effect trailer through Xbox Live on December 22nd. Tonight they released a preview that's actually pretty satisfying on its own.

The Illusive Man, the head of a shadowy organization looking to elevate humanity to power at all costs, is speaking with one of his operatives about Commander Shepard. Specifically, he talks about how Shepard is traveling the length of the galaxy to assemble a team for his latest mission. Biotics, assassins, scientists - these are the sorts of folks you'll be recruiting.

It's not gameplay footage but rather a really polished cinematic. If you saw that Jedi vs. Sith SW: TOR trailer at E3, then you know the high level of quality to expect.
