Batman Vs. Superman: We Might Soon Get One Of The Most Epic Pictures Ever

While the folks at Warner Bros. won't say anything official until they absolutely have to, the truth is that we all know there will be some kind of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice-related hijinks at San Diego Comic-Con next week. We don't know if any of the cast or filmmakers will be on hand during the event, but the film has been in production long enough that fans expect to see some debut footage revealed that may or may not include sequences with both of the blockbuster's titular heroes in the frame. Just in case that somehow doesn't happen, though, there may be a fall-back plan coming into place. Larry Fong, the director of photography on Batman vs. Superman, and Behind-The-Scenes Photographer Clay Enos have hinted that the eponymous characters - and possibly even Wonder Woman - have gathered together for a very special photo shoot.

This story began developing with the rather innocent Tweet from Fong that you see above, which most wouldn't mistake being anything more than some fun behind the scenes of a big upcoming movie. What changed things was Enos' response, which hinted that the photos he was taking were not just run of the mill shots:

The rabbit hole only got deeper when Fong Tweeted back with this:

It's pretty clear that whatever was on the other side of Enos' lens is very cool, and without confirmation we can't say for sure - but it's hard to imagine that it's not the presence of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman eliciting this reaction, right? Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to be a huge film if not just because it will be the first time in history that these characters have been on the big screen together in live-action. I imagine seeing Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot in costume in the same room would be a rather spellbinding thing to see, and it could be what's being photographed above.

It could be days, weeks or months or years before the images taken actually make their way to us - let's not forget the film won't be out until 2016 - but with San Diego Comic-Con lingering I have a feeling that we will them sooner rather than later. In the meantime, at least we already have a couple of cool Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice shots, including this one of the new Dark Knight:

And a new look at the Man of Steel:

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be in theaters on May 6, 2016.
