Because of their own previous experiences with fire, parents have no trouble warning their children of the element's dangers. Sure it's pretty and warm, but getting too close to it and handling it inappropriately can mean disaster. This knowledge has been passed on from generation to generation - which explains why our societies aren't just burning cinders. But there was a learning curve for the earliest evolutionary stages of man, as shown in the new trailer for DreamWorks Animation's The Croods.

We've already seen two different trailers for the prehistoric animated comedy, but today the studio has unleashed a new "sneak peek" at the movie, which you can watch below.

Written and directed by Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders, The Croods follows the first prehistoric family as they escape from the cave that they previously believed to be the whole world and set out on a fantastic adventure into uncharted territory. The all-star cast includes Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman. The film will be the first released by DreamWorks Animation under their new deal with 20th Century Fox and will have it in theaters on March 22nd.
