Mirror Mirror Trailer Puts A Comedic Twist On The Snow White Tale
Last week we got our first look at one of two Snow White movies set to debut in 2012. Starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, Rupert Sanders' Snow White and the Huntsman looks to be a dark, fantastical take on the legendary Brothers Grimm story that operates on a huge scale. Now the trailer for the competing film, Tarsem Singh's Mirror, Mirror has popped online and let's just say it takes a much different tact tonally.
Check out the preview below, courtesy of Yahoo! While the trailers really couldn't be more different - Huntsman is an epic action/adventure while this one looks to be more of a comedy - what I do find interesting about both trailers is that there's a much larger focus on the Evil Queen than on Snow White herself. Albeit Mirror, Mirror shows off more of the young beauty than last week's trailer did, Julia Roberts is the real star of the show here. As though there weren't enough parallels that can be made between these two films, the first trailers provided yet another. Mirror, Mirror stars Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, Nathan Lane and Sean Bean and is based on a screenplay by Melissa Wallack and Jason Keller. Beating Snow White And The Huntsman to theaters, the movie is set to be released by Relativity Media on March 16, 2012.
