Woody Allenís a pretty prominent director, who has made some critically relevant flicks over the years. However, the 77-year-old director has also been so prolific during his time as a director that many of his films havenít made their way on to Blu-ray, yet. In January, however, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has plans to add two of Allenís flicks to the Blu-ray lineup. Sleeper and Hannah and Her Sisters will hit Blu-ray on January 15.

Released theatrically in 1973, Sleeper follows a Allen as a cryogenically frozen man who returns to the world 200 years after an accident in a hospital, only to find people living a topsy-turvy existence led by an evil dictator. Sleeper is also notable for Diane Keatonís first appearance in a Woody Allen movie. She would later go on to star in such classics as Love and Death and Annie Hall.

Hannah and Her Sisters was initially released in 1986, and follows a trio of sisters played by Mia Farrow, Barbara Hershey, and Dianne Wiest. This is one of Allenís more acclaimed momentsóat least by the Acadamy. The film won three Oscars, including one for Best Screenplay.

Unfortunately, while Woody Allen movies never come with a ton of bonus features, both Sleeper and Hannah and Her Sisters will be especially bare and will only feature the theatrical releases of both films. The good news is that both releases are fairly old, and should look great having been cleaned up for Blu-ray. Whether that's enough to warrant a purchase is largely a matter of taste.
