How I Met Your Mother Season 7 Preview: Episode 13 - A Slappy New Year For Barney

A new year is upon us, and with it are new shows and all new episodes of our favorite series. For some of us, that includes How I Met Your Mother. The promo for the episode titled “Tailgate,” which airs this Monday night, offers a look at the episode, including a trip to the cemetery for one character, frustration for another, and a slappy New Year for more than one person!

This Monday’s episode includes guest appearances by Kal Men, Chris Elliot, Will Sasso and Alyson Hannigan’s real-life husband Alexis Denisof, who returns to his role as Sandy Rivers. His part in the episode is very likely to be connected to what’s going on with Robin. There’s a mention of what’s on her plate in CBS’ episode description below. "Tailgate" — After celebrating New Year's Eve, Marshall visits his father's graveside to carry on their tradition of tailgating.  Meanwhile, Barney and Ted open a bar called "Puzzles," and Robin is forced to fill in for an inebriated news anchor, on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, Monday, Jan. 2 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Those slaps look unrelated to the "Slap Bet" but still funny (and knowing Barney, probably deserved)!
