The latest teaser for the upcoming fourth season of The Walking Dead seems to mirror the recently released poster in hinting that it may not be long before the supposedly secure prison isn't so secure anymore. In one of the brief moments featured in the video above, it looked like there might even be enough strength behind those walkers to take that fence down.
Of course, there's Herschel's words to consider, "Everything we've been working so hard to keep out just found its way in." Of course, the literal way to take this -- especially when considering the visual of hungry zombies attacking the fence -- is that the walkers are making their way into the prison, where Rick's group and the Woodbury residents are now living. On a more figurative note, Herschel could be referring to outsiders and the kind of tension, drama and potentially life-threatening problems that come with them. "Everything" could include walkers, unknown outsiders, and threats like the governor, looking to bring harm to Rick and his people.
If you haven't seen it, here's the poster, which also hints at a breach in security…
With the exception of Herschel's voice and some quick glimpses at faceless characters, this latest teaser seems to focus more on terror than it does on actual story or specific characters. One of the other recent teasers also glimpsed the horror that awaits these characters, but in that case, it was looking like Michonne and Daryl were the primary targets.
My favorite of the teasers is the one that shows Daryl rescuing a child. All of the glimpses we've seem so far seem to indicate that zombie attacks are imminent and possibly even plentiful in the anticipated fourth season.
