I was thinking over the weekend how long it had been since I first put The Muppet Show – Season Two in my DVD player. Disney took almost two years to release season two after the first set came out. Would it be that long before we could look forward to the third season?
It turns out the answer is no. Somehow, Disney slid the press release for the third season of The Muppet Show past us. And we call ourselves Muppet fans! Well, we’ve gotten the details now, and we’re passing them on to you.
The third season of that classic combination of live actors and puppets will be coming to DVD on May 20th. The list of guests is even more impressive than previous seasons, with appearances by Gilda Radner, Liberace, Alice Cooper, Sylvester Stallone, and quite possibly one of the most powerful guests ever: Harry Belefonte.
Along with the complete third season comes new bonus features. Here’s a look at what’s been announced, as well as a look at the Fozzie Bear cover art:
