Why Medicate When You Can Get A Dose Of Scrubs On DVD?

ER has finally bowed out, but TV is still flooded with medical dramas. There’s Grey’s Anatomy and House, this summer’s Nurse Jackie and Hawthorne, and new shows such as Mercy and Trauma premiering in the fall. Luckily, we have Scrubs to show us the lighter side of a trip to the hospital. Have some fun at Sacred Heart Hospital when Scrubs: The Complete Eighth Season hits DVD on August 25th and Blu-ray November 17th.

We were first admitted to Sacred Heart in October of 2001, when J.D. (Zach Braff) and Turk (Donald Faison) were mere interns, just out of med school. The boys have come a long way since season one. J.D. finished his residency and has become an attending physician, and Turk has become a surgeon. In the show’s eighth season we meet Dr. Taylor Maddox (Courteney Cox-Arquette), who takes over as chief of medicine after Kelso’s (Ken Jenkins) retirement. J.D. tries to work on his relationship with Elliot (Sarah Chalke), hoping they can discuss their true feelings for each other, and Janitor’s (Neil Flynn) relationship with Lady gets serious.

Whether you’re building your Scrubs library or are new to the show, Scrubs: The Complete Eighth Season will guarantee an extreme dose of laughs, and even a little heartwarming drama. Both the BD ($54.99) and DVD ($39.99) come with all 19 episodes, as well as “My Bahamas Trip,” deleted scenes, bloopers, alternate lines, and webisodes.
