Cancelled Mortal Kombat Co-op Game Had Sub-Zero, Scorpion Working Together

One constant throughout the Mortal Kombat series has been Sub-Zero and Scorpion's animosity toward one another. However, at one point Midway planned to team them up in an action-adventure game.

"When they finished [Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks], the guys at Paradox were gonna do another one called Fire & Ice," MK creator Ed Boon told Game Informer. "It was gonna be a co-operative Scorpion and Sub-Zero game. They actually started the early stages of that game, but they couldn’t do it in time and under budget, so the project was canceled and kind of went away."

You may think it's a stretch to have Sub-Zero and Scorpion fighting alongside one another. If so, I would kindly remind you that the last MK game had fucking Superman.
