Chris Noth Is Renee Zellweger's Sugar Daddy

Is Chris Noth the richest and most desirable man in America, or does he just play one in the movies? Fresh off his role as the millionaire Mr. Big in the Sex and the City movie, Noth will be playing yet another millionaire in My One and Only, which is set to feature Renee Zellweger once again playing a traveling crazy person (remember Nurse Betty?)

According to Variety, Noth will play a wealthy, retired doctor whom Zellweger’s character targets as a potential, well, sugar daddy to help fund her lifestyle and her children’s upbringing. George Loncraine (Wimbledon) will direct the two, with a script based on a story the actor George Hamilton once told Merv Griffin. Hey, there have been movies based on flimsier premises!

With a regular job on Law & Order and presumably steady paychecks from all those Sex and the City re-runs, Noth probably has very little to lose from playing the same role over and over. Plus, he’s good at it! Millions of 15-year-old girls watch Sex and the City and want a Mr. Big for their own, and given that Noth is in his mid-50’s, that’s no small accomplishment. At this rate he might even be able to make Renee Zellweger appealing after all these years.
