In the trailer that was released in December for The Hobbit, we didn't get to see much of the villainous elements of the film. Sure, Gandalf is seen fighting a mysterious enemy and Gollum sneaks up briefly in the last seconds, but for the most part the preview was filled with walking and foreboding messages. One major element not seen was Smaug the Golden, the giant dragon that stole the treasure that the dwarves and Bilbo are coming after. It's entirely possible that they simple haven't rendered it completely yet, but now a little detail from the set may have revealed what the dragon will look like.

The One Ring dug through the set video blogs that Peter Jackson has been posting (you can see them all here) and noticed that the on-set hoodie that Peter Jackson was wearing had a peculiar logo on it. After some more investigating, they discovered that the production logo seems to be the body of Smaug wrapped around the title of the movie. It's hard to tell if this will be the actual design for the dragon in the movie, but regardless it's pretty cool.

Let us know what you think of the design, either in regards to its design or authenticity in the comments section below.
