Frankie Go Boom Exclusive Blu-Ray Clip: Anatomy Of A Deleted Scene

Sure, deleted scenes on DVDs can give you better looks at your favorite stars or just snippets of story that you never got to see. But if you watch them closely, you can get a quick little lesson in filmmaking-- which is exactly what's happening in this exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from the upcoming Blu-ray of Frankie Go Boom. Click on it to see Ron Perlman dressed in drag and painting his nails; keep watching to hear directly from director Jordan Roberts why he cut one scene and went with a totally different version in the final film. As it turns out, audiences really like it when Ron Perlman puts on a wig.

Frankie Go Boom, which played at SXSW last year, stars Charlie Hunnam-- who you'll see leading the human resistance in Pacific Rim later this summer-- as a man who gets in hot water when he posts a particularly embarrassing video of his brother on the Internet. To solve the crisis he and his brother turn to Perlman's character, a transsexual computer hacker, to undo the damage. The cast also includes a bunch of familiar faces, from Party Down's Lizzy Caplan to The Good Wife's Chris Noth.

You can pick up Frankie Go Boom on Blu-ray (opens in new tab) starting May 14, and in case you're still unconvinced, consider this-- one of the bonus features is about a pig in a pool. What other Blu-ray can promise that?
