Though the leaked red band trailer inevitably stole all the thunder (and has since been removed from the Internet, proving it really was a leak), a green-band trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has now come online, featuring the same cover of "Immigrant Song" from Karen O and Trent Reznor and many of the same scenes, but also a few more shots of the new film from David Fincher.

Obviously we're dealing with a lot of the same territory here-- same dark and frigid Swedish feel, same Seven-ish vibe, same insane excitement for Fincher to actually make something worthwhile out of Stieg Larsson's hugely successful novel. I don't like this trailer quite as much, since i think taking out the blood and hints and nudity kind of reduces the quick flashes of the scenes to just endless shots of white people looking upset in dim lighting. But that's a minor quibble-- everything in this trailer still looks spot on, and like Fincher adapting a popular novel after his big Oscar-nominated film is the furthest thing possible from selling out. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, "The feel bad movie of Christmas," comes to theaters in December.
