Harold And Kumar Offer More For Older Viewers

I’ll admit that I’m not fan of Harold and Kumar, so I’m not exactly excited by the upcoming sequel, Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay. The initial trailer offered a tamer version of the pot-fiends’ antics, making me question how much of the movie is a sell-out sequel just for the sake of a sequel. Don’t believe it. New Line has offered up a much more intense trailer online and this movie isn’t pulling any punches.

The trailer is up at the official site, www.haroldandkumar.com, listed as “age restricted material”. Although you are required to enter age identifying information, I can’t believe the security is as tight as they claim – the video pops up seconds after entering your information without any real processing of information.

The new trailer is chock full of the kind of humor you’d expect if you enjoyed the first Harold and Kumar… or even if you didn’t enjoy it. The humor is the same, just taken to that “next level” that sequels aspire for. If you liked the first movie, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll be interested in Guantanamo Bay. Otherwise, you’ll probably want to stay away from both the movie and this restricted trailer.
