Knocked Up Set Blowup

It’s Knocked Up week here on planet Earth, which means I’m scouring the web for anything and everything even remotely related to the film to show you. This morning, a hilarious clip purporting to be from the set of the film popped up online. It’s a spoof, which pretends that former ‘Arrested Development’ actor Michael Cera was originally supposed to play Seth Rogen’s role, but after a blowup on the set was replaced by Seth.

What I can’t fathom is why some people actually seem to believe this is real. People who ought to know better. It’s obviously a fake, and I’m not just talking about production values here. Anyone who knows anything at all about Knocked Up knows that the movie was originally conceived of and developed as a starring vehicle for Seth Rogen. End of story. The role is, and always has been, his. In some of the production videos they’ve recently released from the film, Apatow and Rogen even talk about trying to cast a leading lady to work opposite Seth him who wouldn’t be too small framed. Which means Heigel was cast after Rogen and means that beyond any shadow of a doubt this is a spoof of the David O. Russell/Lilly Tomlin blowup video that’s been circulating around YouTube. I’d have thought it was obvious.

So, that said, check out the hilarious spoof clip from the set of Knocked Up picked up earlier today by The Movie Blog, by clicking play below:
