Carnie Wilson Goes Under The Knife For Second Gastric Bypass Surgery
Back in 2000, Wilson Philips’ Carnie Wilson underwent gastric bypass surgery to get her weight under control. The singer was successful, eventually losing 150 pounds and completely trimming up. Wilson managed to keep the weight off for quite a while. However, by 2008 she had put on some post baby weight. It’s always difficult to take off weight you have lost once before, and after several unsuccessful attempts, the 43 year-old decided to make a weighty decision and do something about it.
Wilson came out recently to state she has undergone gastric bypass surgery for the second time. The first time around, the surgery was accomplished after Wilson was told her life was in danger without the gastric bypass procedure. This time around, the decision was more about getting healthy.
According to People, since her January 18 operation, Wilson has lost over 30 pounds. While having a second surgery was certainly a heavy decision, now the hard part is over, I'm sure the mother of two’s step as a little spring in it just as I'm sure the weight loss will give her an energy boost during the coming months. With a tour for new Wilson Phillips album, Dedicated, coming up and a reality show on the forefront, Wilson sounds like she could use it.
