James Franco has a ton of different interests. From releasing a book of short stories to selling invisible art to, of course, acting, he doesn’t usually go in one direction for very long, which is why it’s not surprising in the least that he’s currently wrist deep in a musical collaboration.

Along with former classmate Tim O’Keefe, Franco started the music project Daddy. The duo released their first video “Love In The Old Days” this week, and not surprisingly, it’s beyond weird. Full of vibrant colors, strange angles and interesting camera tricks, the footage was directed by Franco himself, and it needs to be seen. Take a look at the clip below…

Franco never does anything inside the box. He’s currently playing a character with cornrows named Alien in Spring Breakers. He always likes going out on a limb. When it works, it makes him look incredibly cool. Unfortunately, when it doesn’t, it makes him look like a really strange guy who is trying to be artistic for the sake of being artistic.

So, after watching this video, what do you think of his musical endavour? Is the footage cool Franco, or is it just plain weird Franco? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
