If you like soapy drama and delicious vengeance in your television and you’re reading this from the U.K., there’s good news! ABC’s Revenge is headed across the pond. The series that some of us can’t seem to resist is set to make its British debut later this year.
Currently in its first season Stateside, Revenge stars Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe and follows a young woman who returns to wealthy beach setting of Long Island’s Hamptons, where she once lived as a child, to exact vengeance on the wealthy vacationers involved in the wrongful incarceration of her father years ago. So far, the drama has come together really nicely, and executes the plotting and scheming nicely. There’s also great character development and plenty of twists and turns as we watch Emily scheme and improvise in an effort to get her revenge.
The Hollywood Reporter shared the news that Channel 4’s digital channel E4 has sealed a deal with Disney U.K. & Ireland for the drama to air in the U.K. Per the Reporter, the series will make its U.K. debut on E4 sometime later this year.
In the meantime, those of us in the U.S. are stuck waiting for new episodes as the series is on a brief hiatus, but will return in April to kick off the rest of the first season. And hopefully ABC will decide to officially renew the series for Season 2.
