DIY's Dream House Premieres In January

Next month, the Do It Yourself network will air a series that follows a couple as they attempt to have their dream house built in the Catskill Mountains.

The series, appropriately titled Dream House, follows the Fred and Natasha Ruckel, a newlywed couple from New York City who build a home in the Catskills, which they hope will be their dream house. Building their new home proves challenging as they attempt to juggle their hectic schedules while also managing the limited budget they have set for the project. From the sound of it, this series will be interesting and possibly helpful to people who are considering building their dream home.

In the first episode, the Ruckels have a number of issues to deal with, including their new neighbors, lack of water on the land and a fiasco involving the wrong trees getting cut down.

Dream House premieres Sunday, January 9 at 8 p.m. ET on DIY.
