When Flight of the Conchords premiered on HBO in 2007 it did the impossible: gave the world funny music that is actually good original compositions. It was also a hilarious show. Now we only have a month to wait for the season two premiere on January 18th. Or do we?
If you go to Funny Or Die you’ll be able to see the season two premiere. Now. Don’t feel rejected that you got double stuffed, just jump on in and watch the show. In a time when HBO is starting to lag behind Showtime in original programming FotC is a shining light of hilarity. Bret and Jermaine’s off-beat and irreverent humor is surprisingly easy to get into. I think that many who won’t give the show a shot is unaware of how human the comedy is. Songs are often about love and life, and the duo incorporates that into the comedy itself.
Also, Murray sings an operatic number to start off the new season. Can’t get much better than that.
